New Year, New Mind, New Bod!
It’s October 2009 already and you haven’t quite made a dent in your infamous “Lose 10lbs this year” plan. You’ve probably thrown in the towel and decided to rollover that same resolution to 2010’s line-up.
I too am guilty of this; after dropping 5 of the 20 lbs I wanted to lose (only thanks to the removal of my wisdom teeth), I’ve decided to put together a Consciously Birthing 8 Week Challenge**!
The challenge is just that. It’s not a competition, there will be no $10,000 Biggest Loser check issued and definitely no 12hr long days of sweat and tears.
The CB 8 Week Challenge is all about sensible, healthy living, diet & weightloss. It’s a way to keep each other motivated and focused. And definitely a way to track our progress – so that two months from now you can look back and say “Wow! I freakin’ did it!! — and this was how”.
Weightloss is meant to be gradual yet steady.. mindful yet rewarding!
Now, anyone is free to join the challenge. The only thing that is required is your dedication to success and an open mind and heart to witness the progression that will take place. You can implement any workout regime AND/OR diet that you wish. Keeping in mind that you want to have healthy results, not quick ones. On average with diet and exercise you can lose 2 1/2 – 3lbs per week! That can equal up to over 20lbs in 8 weeks — Imagine that!
The CB 8 Week Challenge will begin next Monday (not this upcoming Monday), October 19, 2009. Simply take a before pic of yourself, record your measurement (arms, waist, hips, thighs and bust), weight in pounds and your BMI (body mass index). There is no need to report your results at the end of every week. There will, however, be a mid challenge weigh-in on November 16 and a final weigh-in on December 14. And what’s even better is this is all done in the comfort of your home!
Our current stats WILL NOT be posted UNTIL the completion of the entire 8 weeks. That means – NO ONE will even know. Not until you’re right and ready, in your nearly 20lbs-lighter fabulous, new bod! (By the way that’s approx a whole two dress sizes smaller!!)
