Antimicrobial Herbs: Heal and Kill
With the changing weather it’s almost inevitable that most will end up lying in bed with a thermometer, heating pad and some form of medication they picked up from the local drug store. But what’s even worse is your potential sickness could be life-debilitating especially if you depend on synthetic drugs to rehabilitate (ok.. that’s a tad bit dramatic LOL, but it’s possible).
There’s many of ways to prevent these types of air-bourne pathogens from entering your blood stream; my particular fave is through antimicrobial herbal remedy.
Antimicrobial herbs (or spices) are natural antibiotics, as well as antifungal and come in a variety of potencies, flavors and aromas. These herbs help kill bad bacteria (yeast, mold, parasites!) while giving your immune system a healthy boost!
You may have even eaten or used these herbs and not even known it:
–Thyme — kills viruses and bacteria, antiseptic, great for colds/cough
–Cinnamon/Cassia — kills bacteria, pain reliever, great during menstruation!
-Echinacea — boosts immune system
–Black cumin — supports immunity, perfect to mix w/ other herbs
and SO many more…
Rising Sun Emporium carries a variety of antimicrobial herbs — from your basic dried Rosemary to the more complex Goldenseal herb. RSE will even prescribe an easy step by step regime to help you get over your illness even quicker.
So next time you feel like you’re about to catch that ‘bug’ try to steer clear of those synthetic drugs and look to nature’s way.
